Pat Brantley, left, dressed as a joker, and Tim Garris, outfitted as a jester (background), serve their table at Pinewood Country Club Thursday night during a "Celebrity Waiters" fund-raising dinner attended by some 100 people, which collected about $5,200 for the North Carolina chapter of the Leukemia Society of America. Other area "celebrities" were: Delane Bovender (Kelly Temporary Services), Phil Callicutt (Jockey International), Darla Cox (First Southern Savings Bank), Debbie Craven, (The Real Estate Shoppe), Linda Luther and Teresa Thornburg (Sears Roebuck and Co.), Kieth Morgan (Hedgecock Builders Supply Co.), Ed Pugh (Pugh Funeral Home), Ross Reaves (Mail Boxes Etc. USA), Walter Jackson (Vick Brothers Electric Co.) Jack Pugh of Pugh Funeral Home served as honorary maitre d' while Dave Rowe of Randolph Electric Membership Corp. and Randy Lucas of WKXR were masters of ceremonies.
